Construction Project Manager, Development Department

Heartland Dental has a cutting-edge construction project management position whose primary function is to help plan, deliver & optimize a nationwide retail construction rollout strategy for its Dental Service Organization.

We’re looking for professional individuals who are open, positive and mentally flexible to join our network of support.

 

The ideal candidate will be located in the Southeast (FL, GA, SC) and will work on a team that includes Design and Real Estate Managers and will report to the Sr. Director of Design and Construction who is based in St. Louis.

 

Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

  • Partner with Real Estate and Design functions to accomplish common Development Goals.
  • Manage all facets of construction management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual projects, including: construction, occupancy &
  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved Reports status & variances. Create action plans to meet objectives, budget & schedule.
  • Prepare & present project status reports with team on all applicable projects at regularly scheduled project status
  • Initiate internal & external communications with Team (Real Estate, Heartland Dental Development, consultants, permit expediters, utility companies & city officials) throughout the life cycle of the
  • Maintain consistent focus on managing project timelines & overall project
  • Report project success metrics, complete proper project close out & lessons learned
  • Conducts standard request for proposals (RFP) & complete bid
  • Develop & manage external construction & consultant
  • Manage the review & approval of general contractor, sub-contractor (when applicable) and miscellaneous contractor/consultant payment
  • Demonstrates ability to identify project risks, develop risk mitigation & contingency plans, & implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project
  • Demonstrates capability to read, understand & apply standard to moderately complex documents affecting real estate projects, including, but not limited to: agreements/contract, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys &

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

*** Must be located in  Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, GA Chicago IL, Indianapolis, IN or St. Louis, MO or another city with a major airport.

 

  •  

    Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from a college or university in a technical area of study and four years of related experience/training.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction, building design & project management methodologies.
  • Project Management related software experiences.
  • Ability to travel frequently, estimated more than 50% of the time.
  • Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders & lift 50lbs.
