Depending on the type of sedation used, you may or may not be awake during your procedure. For minor procedures, you'll likely be administered light, conscious sedation, which keeps you awake but relaxed and comfortable. Heavier sedation options, typically used for more complex procedures and surgeries, will make you very tired and deeply relaxed yet still responsive, or completely unconscious during your procedure.
