After LAPT, you may feel mild discomfort and soreness in your gums, along with some swelling, but it should all resolve after a few days. Fully healed gums will take several months. After the procedure, it is recommended that you take it easy and follow a soft food diet to aid in the healing of your gums. You should also maintain good oral hygiene, but don't brush or floss directly over the treated area for some time.
