What is tooth extraction like?

During a tooth extraction, your dentist numbs the area and then uses specialized dental tools to loosen and remove the tooth from your gum socket. If necessary, they may make small incisions in the gums to access your tooth more easily. Once the tooth is out, your dentist will clean the socket and stitch it up if necessary.
