Can a dentist treat snoring in seniors?

If you snore at night, your dentist can perform an exam and assess your airway. They can either a) refer you to a sleep specialist for a sleep study if they believe you display symptoms of sleep apnea, or b) determine if you could benefit from a dental oral appliance for nighttime grinding or to prevent your tongue from blocking your airway while you sleep (which can cause snoring due to decreased airflow).
